Hidden Camera Detector · Last updated 6 September 2026
Your privacy comes first.
What stays on your device. Every scan runs locally. Camera frames from the infrared and lens tools are analyzed live and are never saved or transmitted. Magnetometer readings are processed on-device and are not stored. Scan results — including network names, addresses, device names and the places you name — are stored only on this phone and are never uploaded.
What we do collect. The app sends anonymous usage and crash data to Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) so we can see which features are used, where the app fails, and where people get stuck. This is limited to counts, timings and screen names, plus a randomly generated install identifier. It never includes your scan results, network names, MAC or IP addresses, camera frames, or your location. We do not use an advertising ID and we show no ads.
Account. When you finish setup, an anonymous account is created so a subscription can be restored if you reinstall. It holds no name, email or contact details.
Subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Google Play. We verify them on our server to confirm they are genuine; that check stores only your anonymous account id and the subscription status.
Notifications. Reminders are generated on your device. We may also send occasional messages about your subscription, which requires a push token tied to your anonymous account.
Your choices. You can turn notifications off in Settings. Settings → Delete my data permanently removes your saved sweeps, trusted devices and preferences from this phone, and deletes your anonymous account, subscription status and push token from our servers. Uninstalling removes only what is on your phone — use Delete my data first if you want everything gone.
Where your data is held. The anonymous account, subscription status and push token are stored with Google Firebase on servers in the United States. We keep them until you delete your data.
